How to light a barbecue, coal briquettes

The easiest and most environmentally friendly way. Especially when there are no starters and ignition mixes at hand.

You can take ordinary coal, but in this case we use coal briquettes. They kindle a little longer, but then they give uniform heat.

2 kg of coal briquettes will last for 3 hours and, accordingly, several batches of barbecue.

We spread the briquettes on the bottom of the barbecue. We put paper on top (everything will do: notebooks, newspapers or incriminating records), a sliver and a couple of pieces of wood thicker – for reliability.

We set it on fire. As soon as the fire takes shape, we rake up all the briquettes closer to the fire.

The fire burns down, coal briquettes are heated. Let them burn until a gray coating forms.

In appearance, the coals are covered with gray hair, we check the heat with our hand – if you can hold your hand at the level of the edge of the barbecue for no more than 3-5 seconds, then the coals are quite ready and you can lay out the skewers.

The optimal location of the meat above the level of coals:

You can start cooking.

Cook with pleasure!
