French toast.
The taste is familiar from childhood. Good option for breakfast.
For this recipe, I used a regular loaf of bread. The ingredients below made 16 toasts.
Ingredients
- Bread – 16 slices (no more than 1 cm thick)
- Eggs – 4 pcs
- Milk – 170 ml
- Butter – 30-40 grams
- Sunflower oil – 3 tablespoons (50-70 ml)
- Salt and pepper – to taste
Mix warm milk with eggs, add salt and pepper to the mixture, mix.
We put two or three slices into the mixture, and let them soak for 30 seconds, then turn over and let them saturate for another 30 seconds.
Meanwhile, heat the butter and sunflower oil in a frying pan. (About a third of the amount indicated above, the rest will be added as needed)
Put two or three slices in a pan, fry on one side for 2-3 minutes (on medium heat), turn over and fry on the other side in the same way for 2-3 minutes. Done, let’s move on to the next batch.
Also soak and fry. Do not forget to clean the pan from the crumbs left over from previous batches, and, if necessary, add oil.
Everything is simple.
