Choux pastry cookies. Very soft, tender and delicious.
Ingredients
- Wheat flour (plain flour) – 180 g
- Butter – 80 g
- Eggs (55-63 g each) – 5 pcs
- Milk – 135 ml
- Salt 1/4 teaspoon
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
For impregnation and sprinkling
- Sugar – 3 tablespoons
- Water – 4 tablespoons
- Powdered sugar – 3 tablespoons
- Cinnamon – 2 tablespoons
Cooking
1.Sift the flour and cut the butter into small cubes
2.Place the pan over medium heat, pour milk, add sugar, salt and butter there. Stir everything, bring to a boil and remove stirring from the heat.
3.Cool a little and pour flour in parts, actively mixing all the ingredients in a saucepan. It is not necessary to beat, just mix so that there are no lumps and the mass is homogeneous.
4.Without ceasing to stir, add the eggs, mix everything well, until the mass is homogeneous.
5.The dough should turn out a little liquid
6.Preheat the oven to 200°C
7.Cover the baking sheet with baking paper.
8.Place choux pastry on paper in the form of small strips, about 1 cm by 3.
9.Slightly smooth the dough with your fingers, giving the dough a flat shape.
10.Place the baking sheet to the oven for 18-20 minutes.
11.For now, let’s prepare sugar syrup for soaking cookies. Pour 3 tablespoons of sugar into the pan and add 4 tablespoons of water, stirring, heat to a boil, and after a couple of minutes remove from heat. Cool.
12.Also cool the finished cookies, pour over the syrup, mix and put on a dish.
13.Sprinkle powder and cinnamon on top.
